Upgrading Your Plan

How to Upgrade

You can upgrade your plan at any time from your dashboard. Go to Dashboard > Settings > Subscription and select the plan you want to upgrade to. Click "Upgrade" and you will be taken to a Stripe checkout page to confirm the change.

Upgrades take effect immediately. As soon as the payment is confirmed, your new plan features are available and your menu item limit is increased.

How Proration Works

When you upgrade mid-billing cycle, Stripe calculates the price difference automatically. You are only charged the prorated amount for the remaining days in your current billing period. For example:

  • If you upgrade from PhotoMenu Starter ($19.99) to Pro ($39.99) halfway through your billing cycle, you pay roughly $10 for the remainder of the month
  • Your next full billing cycle will be charged at the new plan price ($39.99)

This means you never pay double for the same period. The prorated charge appears on your next invoice.

Upgrading from PhotoMenu to 3D Menu Pro

Switching from PhotoMenu to 3D Menu Pro is treated as a product change. All your existing menu items, photos, and settings are preserved. After upgrading, you can start generating 3D models for your items right away.

The 3D model generation process typically takes 2 to 5 minutes per item. You can generate models one at a time or use the batch generation feature to process multiple items at once.

Customers visiting your menu will automatically see the 3D models as they become available. Items that have not been processed yet continue to show their photos.

Downgrading

To downgrade to a lower tier, go to the same Subscription settings page. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You continue to have access to your current plan features until then.

If your current number of menu items exceeds the limit on the lower tier, you will need to deactivate some items before the downgrade takes effect. The platform will prompt you to do this.
